Near Hanshin Ashiya Station, in a historical building once used by NTT, lies the wonderfully elegant restaurant EK Monolith Ashiya. Quite in contrast with many restaurants in Japan, the interior is both very spacious and full of atmosphere. A eclectic mix of old world club and modern style restaurant. Lighting is subdued and romantic. You feel at home the moment you pass through the French doors.
The food is a combination of Asian and Italian concepts, beautifully displayed in small but sufficient portions that caress every part of your mouth.
