Fabulous Old Book

Hidden on the fourth floor of a nondescript building nearby Kobe’s Motomachi station is a little gem of a vintage book store called Fabulous Old Book.

The store carries foreign language children’s books dating back to the 1940s through 1970s. Although the prices are a bit high, there is probably no other place in Japan carrying these kind of books. And quite a few of the books on the shelfs of this store are even rare in their country of origin.

Next time when you’re in Kobe, go and have a look!
